IUI

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) may be a good option for some couples depending on the cause of infertility. Often this procedure may be done before IVF is performed. With IUI, sperm is collected and then prepared in the lab. A catheter is placed into the uterus and the prepared sperm is injected into the uterus so that the sperm is much closer to the egg than with traditional intercourse.

Included services: *

  • Ultrasound monitoring
  • Bloodwork monitoring
  • Sperm preparation
  • IUI

*Does not include fertility medications

Egg Thaw and ICSI

Egg thaw and ICSI is a good option for patients after eggs have been frozen and you’re ready to create embryos for pregnancy. The frozen eggs will be thawed and ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection) is performed where the sperm is directly injected into the egg for embryo creation. Once the embryos are created and cultured, an embryo will be transferred into the uterus for hopeful pregnancy.

Included services: *

  • Ultrasound monitoring
  • Bloodwork monitoring
  • Egg thaw
  • Sperm preparation
  • ICSI
  • Embryo creation
  • Embryo culture
  • Embryo transfer

*Does not include storage fees and fertility medications

PGT-A

Preimplantation Genetic Screening, also known as PGT-A, is a treatment add-on. This is a test that screens embryos for chromosomal abnormalities, and can also determine the sex of the embryo. This test involves biopsying the embryo in the lab and then sending the sample off to Igenomix lab for testing. Igenomix is the forefront reproductive genetic lab in the country.

This allows us to transfer embryos with no chromosomal or genetic anomalies. This lowers the risk of miscarriage and lowers the risk of having children born with chromosomal anomalies. This option is good for couples with recurrent implantation failure or miscarriage, advanced intended parent age and for those wishing to choose the sex for family balancing. Our team will discuss if PGT-A is a good treatment add-on for you.

Included services: *

  • Embryo biopsy
  • Igenomix lab fees

*Does not include storage fees and fertility medications

FET

Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) is the process of thawing frozen embryos and then transferring the embryo back into the uterus for a hopeful pregnancy. This is typically done after an egg retrieval cycle, but can also be done later on if you have previously frozen embryos, such as before a successful pregnancy and delivery and you are looking to expand your family even more. We can accept frozen embryos from other fertility clinics if you wish to transfer your embryos to Annandale Fertility.

Included services: *

  • Ultrasound monitoring
  • Bloodwork monitoring
  • Embryo thaw

Sonohysterogram

Sonohysterogram, also known as Saline Infusion Sonogram (SIS), is a diagnostic ultrasound to evaluate the uterine cavity. This will assess intracavitary pathology, such as fibroids, uterine polyps and septums that can negatively impact getting pregnant and staying pregnant.

A catheter is placed into the cervix and sterline saline is injected into the uterus. It is a quick procedure but can cause moderate to severe cramping, and some spotting afterwards. It is suggested to be performed on cycle day 5-12. This procedure has no radiation.

Annandale Fertility is happy to perform your SIS even if you are not partaking in fertility services

Hysteroscopy

Hysteroscopy is a diagnostic test to evaluate the uterine cavity. This will assess intracavitary pathology, such as fibroids, uterine polyp, septums and for an abnormally shaped uterus that can negatively impact getting pregnant and staying pregnant.

The cervix is numbed with injected lidocaine and then dilated to accommodate the hysteroscope (camera). The camera is then advanced into the uterus to evaluate the inside of the cavity.

Sometimes a biopsy (EMB) is obtained of the endometrial tissue, at the same time.

It is a quick procedure but can cause moderate to severe cramping, and some spotting afterwards. It is suggested to be performed on cycle day 5-12.

Annandale Fertility is happy to perform your SIS even if you are not partaking in fertility services with us. We will help you to submit this through insurance.

Hysterosalpingogram

Hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is a diagnostic x-ray of the fallopian tubes to ensure that the fallopian tubes are open (patent). HSG also checks for a disorder of fluid in the tube, called Hydrosalpinx, which can be toxic to sperm and embryos.

A catheter is placed into the cervix and fluoroscopic dye is injected into the uterus. We watch the dye on x-ray to ensure it is flowing down the tubes. It is a quick procedure but can cause moderate to severe cramping, and some spotting afterwards. It is suggested to be performed on cycle day 5-12.

Annandale Fertility is happy to perform your HSG even if you are not partaking in fertility services with us. We will help you to submit this through insurance.
